SkillsTested measures how the site is used, but free-text goals are kept out of URLs and analytics. Saving an unsupported request is optional.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and coarse product actions such as scrolling, copying a command, opening an external link, or staying for 60 seconds. Analytics receives the page path and action category, not the text typed into the path builder. Query strings and URL fragments are removed from the page location sent to Google.

Path-builder goals

A goal submitted to the path builder is sent only to the same-origin planning endpoint to match it against published paths. The planning endpoint does not store the goal. Goal text is not put in the page URL and is not sent to Google Analytics or another third party.

Optional unsupported-request storage

When no tested path matches, the site may offer a separate, explicit choice to save the request. If selected, SkillsTested stores the goal, an optional email address, coarse locale, requested output types, and save time in first-party Cloudflare KV storage. The purpose is only to decide which path to test next. The record expires automatically after 90 days. Nothing is saved through this route unless the user chooses it.

Retention and deletion

Optional unsupported requests expire automatically after 90 days. GA4 event-level data is kept for 2 months; aggregate reports may remain longer without the original free-text goal, which is never intentionally sent to GA4. Gumroad is the order system for paid work and retains purchase records under its own legal and tax obligations.

After saving an unsupported request, the site shows a deletion code. Enter that code below to delete the matched record immediately. The code is sent only to SkillsTested's same-origin deletion endpoint. It is not included in the URL or analytics.

Providers and contact

Cloudflare hosts the site and optional request store. Google provides analytics. Gumroad handles checkout and receipts. Their processing is governed by their own privacy terms. SkillsTested is an independent project run by Fred. Use the form above for saved-request deletion. Order questions and refund requests can be sent by replying to the Gumroad receipt.
